Site Walk-Through (Tier II)

Meet the CleanEdison Team!
CleanEdison Commercial Energy Specialists Come On-site

CleanEdison’s Commercial Energy Specialist will perform a walk-through consistent with ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers) Level 1. This will verify upgrade potential suggested by the Building Assessment in Tier 1 as well as discover additional opportunities for cost-effective energy-efficiency improvements that could not be determined remotely (and there may be many!).

The findings of this study will be delivered in a thorough report which summarizes the most promising energy conservation opportunities for your building consistent with the CleanEdison ROI Pledge®. This report will be reviewed by CleanEdison with the Client’s primary personnel and will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Additional insights available as a result of having visually inspected the property
  • Electric bill rate analysis to determine if the building would benefit from a rate switch
  • Energy Use Index (EUI) for each building’s fuel type as well as a “target” EUI for the building
  • Energy end-use breakdown for the major en-uses of the building
  • On-site renewable energy recommendations
  • “Order-of-magnitude” calculations providing estimates of costs and annual savings for most of the measures that are recommended for further investigation
  • Estimates of rebates and incentives that may be available to underwrite the cost of some measures and reduce paybacks
  • Assess and inspect currently installed lighting, HVAC, process systems, and other energy-demand equipment
  • Identify sub-optimal energy consumption patterns
  • Provide recommendations for new, high-efficiency fixtures and equipment
  • Present opportunities to increase system efficiency through maintenance, sensors, meters, controls, etc.
  • Quantify short-term and long-term operating cost savings and expenditures associated with all recommendations
  • Assist with identifying and applying for qualifying equipment rebates and incentive programs
The findings from this report will allow the client to take meaningful action. These findings may be:
  • Measures that could be implemented immediately by in-house staff
  • Measures that could be put out to bid right away, without further study
  • Measures that need additional analyses prior to implementation
