NABCEP certification is generally acknowledged as the "gold standard" for professional accreditation in the solar energy industry, and gives employers and customers a degree of certainty that practitioners have voluntarily met the high standards and qualifications set by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
This solar energy training course is IREC ISPQ Accredited Training Program and was designed to NABCEP's Job Task Analysis.
This course is ideal for roofers, electricians, contractors, architects and builders who aspire to become professionals in solar PV installation. The classroom component of CleanEdison's Solar Energy Training can be taken either in person or online.

What certification does this course prepare me for?
This course prepares students to sit for the PV Entry Level exam, administered by the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).
What is the PV Entry Level Exam Like?
The PV Entry Level Exam lasts 2 hours and consists 60 multiple-choice questions. The questions are based on a set of Learning Objectives developed by a Committee of PV subject matter experts. To learn more, download the Entry Level Exam Candidate Information Sheet.
Candidates must receive a 70% in order to pass the NABCEP Entry Level Exam.
How do I register for the Entry Level exam?
In order to register for the exam, contact CleanEdison when you complete your entry level solar energy training program. We will inform NABCEP when you complete the course and you will then receive an email with a link and all the information needed to complete your registration.
What about the PV Installer exam?
Successful completion of this course and a passing score on the NABCEP Entry Level Exam provides participants up to 18 credit hours toward the education requirements necessary to sit for the NABCEP Photovoltaic Installer Certification exam.
