HAZWOPER 24 Hour

why take this course:

A HAZWOPER 24 Hour is required for employees visiting an Uncontrolled Hazardous Waste Operation, as mandated by the federal and state governments. This course is designed for workers who are on sites only occasionally for a specific limited task and who are unlikely to be exposed over permissible exposure limits and published limits OR workers regularly on site who work in areas which have been monitored and fully characterized indicating that exposures are under permissible exposure limits and published exposure limits, where respirators are not necessary, there are no health hazards or the possibility of an emergency developing.

This course is ideal for home inspectors, contractors, HVAC Professionals, insulation professionals, general contractors and anyone who works on project sites that may contain hazardous materials.

What you'll learn:

CleanEdison's 24-HR HAZWOPER training course is designed to teach workers or supervisors who enter sites that contain potentially hazardous waste the basic health & safety work practices necessary to confidently work with and around hazardous materials and waste. This training program consists of a synopsis of the core elements of an occupational safety and health program including emergency response plan and procedures. Additional course topics to be explored include proper use of air monitoring devices and appropriate use and hands-on demonstration of Personal Protective Equipment.
