What you'll learn:

CleanEdison's 5-day BPI Retrofit Installer training course closely follows the NREL Job Task Analysis for Retrofit Installers. This course includes all of the tasks a retrofit installer technician may perform, as well as the knowledge, skills and abilities required to do these tasks.

Topics include: maintaining safe work environment, preparing for the job, installing air sealing measures, identifying electrical and plumbing installation needs, and customer debriefing.

BPI Certification:

The Retrofit Installer course prepares students to sit for BPI's written exam and field exams. Passing both exams will earn the candidate the NREL / BPI Retrofit Installer certification, which meets the International Organization for Standardization's (ISO 17024) benchmark for quality personnel certifications.

Certification Prerequisites:

Candidates must have ALL of these prerequisites before taking the exams:

• Education: GED/high school diploma or equivalent education
