Executive Team

Avi Yashchin is president of CleanEdison and a member of U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). Avi is an outspoken advocate of green building and renewable energy and applies his expertise in finance to sustainability projects at CleanEdison.

Prior to founding CleanEdison, Avi spent seven years at Lehman Brothers where he served as vice president in the Global Credit Products group and also traded for the firm’s bank loan financing portfolio in the Energy, MLP and Financials sectors. Avi graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a BS in Computer Science and received an MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University. He is active in the New York philanthropy circle and started the New York Philanthropy Group which helps bring underprivileged South American business students to New York and jumpstart their career. He is a triathlete and frequently competes in races.

Serena Tse is the chief operating officer of CleanEdison. Serena runs the strategic business arm of CleanEdison and advises on global economic trends in the green industry leveraging her expertise and knowledge from the construction and building sector.

Prior to joining CleanEdison, Serena spent five years with GE Capital covering the Construction and Transportation sectors where she served as senior vice president and also worked as a senior research analyst. Before GE Capital, Serena was an analyst covering Global Cyclicals for Soros Fund Management’s Quantum Endowment Fund and also worked at Morgan Stanley focused on Investment Banking. Prior to Morgan Stanley, she was a consultant in the Health and Welfare Practice of William M. Mercer, Inc. Serena graduated from Northwestern University with a BA Mathematics and Economics and received a MBA from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. She is an avid skier and triathlete.

Lauren Carson is the director of business development of CleanEdison. Lauren uses her expertise in sales and building management to develop strategic relationships and manage the sales team nationwide. Lauren has more than five years expertise in residential real estate acquisitions and property management. Lauren was instrumental in implementing green management practices and energy efficient improvements during her tenure as chief executive officer of Wayside Real Estate Investments.

Prior to joining CleanEdison, she spent six years as vice president of Interest Rate Derivative Sales and a mortgage analyst at Lehman Brothers. Lauren graduated from Trinity University with a BS in Finance and Economics. She enjoys traveling, hiking and skiing.
