Geothermal Training

Do you want to utilize the potential energy below the earth? It is at a consistent temperature. Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are a highly efficient renewable energy technology used for heating and cooling of both residential and commercial spaces. GSHPs rely on the constant temperature below the Earth's surface to transfer heat into buildings in the winter, and out of buildings in the summer. Geothermal systems are an increasingly popular way to provide energy to buildings thanks to multiple incentives provided by federal and local programs. CleanEdison has training courses prepared to teach individuals the fundamentals to build a strong foundation in the how and why of properly designed and installed geothermal heat pump systems. Just like no solar panel system is the same as the last, CleanEdison also offers Standing Column Well (SCW) courses to differentiate their design from that of a more common geothermal heat pump. This course will investigate a number of SCW design applications, and review the key thermal and hydro-geological bases for good performance.
Who Should Attend?
Over half the class is made up of Engineers and HVAC professionals. Builders, Consultants, Drillers, are the most significant professional groups represented after that. We also have many Plumbers and Business Owners looking to take advantage of the huge market growth happening in the geothermal industry.
Geothermal businesses need all sorts of people, so the course is set up to accommodate that. If you have little to no background in a comparably skilled building trade but are interested in joining the industry, you might consider taking one of our beginner online trainings in advance of this classroom training.
In all classes we have a variety of trades people such as Architects, Geologists, Hydrogeologists or Career Changers that have an interest in the "green" building professions. Given this mix of students, the discussion among these different groups tends to be outstanding and the instructor's technical expertise makes him uniquely qualified to moderate.
