Initial Lead RRP Dust Sampler
Lead Dust Samplers must successfully complete an EPA accredited training course, as stated under § 745.225. CleanEdison's Dust Sampler Course was developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to train individuals conducting lead dust testing and clearance to comply with the EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule and HUD's Lead Safe Housing Rule. Students will learn topics including regulations, visual inspection and sampling technique, as well as laboratory analysis and interpretation. CleanEdison's course is designed to have 6 training hours, including breaks and lunch, as well as 2 hours worth of hands-on training activities. The course day will end with a 30 minute exam, after which, all successful students will earn a a Dust Sampling Technician Certification.
Who Should Attend?
Any individual who will conduct dust wipe testing or clearance examinations, including renovators, building owners, consultants, contractors, and maintenance personnel.
Course Includes
8 hours of instruction, hands-on training, and an EPA Dust Sampling Technician (DST) certification.
